About the Artwork

In this painting, the artist has depicted Minyma Kutjara (two women). This represents the Creation Law Story of the two women who traveled through the artist’s ancestral country on a long journey that stretches across the Central Desert of Australia.

Like all the Creation Ancestors, the two women became part of the landscape and left behind teachings about good living, encoded in their story for countless generations of women since that time to follow.
