Trudy Brumby was born and raised in Kaltukatjara (Docker River) community, and painted extensively with Kaltukatjara Art centre, before moving to Mutitjulu community with her young family. She now paints and exhibits with Walkatjara Art, Mutitjulu’s art centre at the Cultural Centre, Uluru. Her usual stories are Kapi (Waterhole), and Seven Sisters story.
