About Selina Kulitja
Selina is an Anangu woman based in Mutitjulu Community within the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. She is an active spokesperson within the area as both a local and regional council representative. Her mother, senior artist Nyinku Kultija, initially taught her wood carving at Maruku Arts. She later began painting between Tjarlirli & Kaltukatjara Art and Walkatjara Art, establishing a distinct style that uses dotting and subtle colour changes. Selina most often depicts the traditional Tjukurpa story of the Kungkarangkalpa (Seven Sisters).
Alongside painting, Selina is also a health worker at the local community clinic and a land management advisor with the Katiti-Petermann Indigenous Protected Area.
