Katrina Giles born in Alice Springs and grew up in Tjukurla where she also attended school. Katrina started painting at a young age. She learnt how to paint from watching her family paint, especially her grandmother who was one of Tjarlirli Art’s most celebrated painters. Katrina occasionally visits Mutitjulu, where her husband is from. When she is in Mutitjulu, she comes into Walkatjara Gallery to paint and share her passion and artistic talents. Katrina likes painting Kapi (waterhole) and Tali (Sandhill), and Tjanpi (bush flowers) and Minyama Tjukurpa (women story).
