Jennifer Lewis was born in Areyonga and grew up there with her mother, father and her three sisters. Jennifer is a Pitjantjara woman, and her traditional land is here at Mutitjulu, which sits under the gentle shadow of Uluru. It was here that she learnt to paint. Jennifer now lives at Nyirripi community, near Yuendumu, where she usually paints for Warlukurlangu Art Centre. Whenever she is visiting family here in Mutitjulu Community, she often stops by Walkatjara Art to paint, brightening the studio with her uplifting spirit and kind heart.

Jennifer uses a vibrant colour palette, and enjoys depicting the colourful desert flowers, water holes and meeting places of the land she knows so well. It reminds her of her wonderful life of moving through the desert, visiting family.
